The charge is annealed in air or in a protective atmosphere. All alloy materials containing manganese oxide (such as AA3004 alloy) are prone to fading, so the annealing process must be completed in a protective atmosphere.

This also suitable for other alloy materials, such as deep-drawing dies requiring extremely thin oxide layers to extend service life, and composite aluminum strips used in manufacturing automotive radiators.

The chamber furnace ensures temperature uniformity of the charge while achieving the shortest heating time (e.g., during annealing to tempering: temperature variation within ±3°C at the end of holding). The airtight design of the chamber furnace ensures residual oxygen in the furnace is less than 0.05% v/v.

Aluminum foil coils undergo a special annealing process where rolling lubricants fully evaporate to prevent sticking and ensure material surface cleanliness. Annealing in a protective atmosphere ensures surface cleanliness is achieved in the shortest time, as the protective atmosphere promotes evaporation of rolling lubricants and reduces the risk of oil cracking on the foil surface.
